Executive General Manager (EGM) – Advanced Battery Technologies (ABT)

Manuel has a passion for innovation and international collaborations, with areas of technical expertise that include batteries, materials science and nanotechnology. Working in the lithium ion battery industry, Manuel has gained extensive experience in lithium ion battery R&D and technology commercialisation while being instrumental in taking technology from lab scale to pilot production ready.

As the Executive General Manager of ABT at AnteoTech, Mr Wieser’s focus is on growing the adoption of AnteoTech’s Ultranode™ high silicon content anode formulation/design in the Lithium ion Battery (LiB) market. Across end uses that include Drone, Consumables such as wearables and mobile phones as well as in Electric Vehicles.

In addition to Ultranode™ AnteoTech sells Anteo X™ a performance additive improving high silicon anode performance and SiMRAX, a joint product with US based Carbon nanotube dispersion technology company Black Diamond Structure. Mr Wieser, leading the ABT team, is focused on growing AnteoTech’s sales of these products too.

Recently AnteoTech has introduced into the broader LiB market, that is for use in Battery Energy Storage Systems, a ceramic coated separator performance additive: Anteo S™. Anteo S™ improves separator mechanical performance, improving overall separator and battery performance particularly when it comes to Thermal runaway. Mr Wieser’s role is to grow sales of this product globally too.

With a Master of Engineering in Materials and a Master of Business in Entrepreneurship, Manuel is skilled at leading technology development as well as commercialisation activities and has participated in several successful substantial capital raises.
